We are grateful to Elsie on the ground this month in ENBP – who handed over to the Emergency Department, Vunapope Hospital a portable suction machine donated from the ENB Queensland Community.

A big thank you to Kate from St John’s Ambulance who brought this need to our attention and then facilitated a training session for OPD \ ED Team – we are joyful to know that this piece of equipment will be well utilised and the staff can continue to offer great care to their patients.

Congratulations to all who turned up to do the final pack on the 24th May – truly was the “DREAM TEAM” yesterday!

A fun and productive day in glorious weather.

Special mentions of super dedication to Emma Cross who came by train from Bundaberg with 6 suitcases of school uniforms. Monique Thurston drove from Yepoon with Highschool books. Nola and Josh who spent time packing during their short turn around trip back from work. The love of support and contribution is wide spread!

Veronica Henderson who helped and guided us today – we appreciate all you do for the ENB QLD Community. Sandra and Judith from Gulf – thank you for giving us a hand today!

Richard and Glen on the forks today – Amazing- you guys were on the go all day! Fiona thank you for being an amazing visual space coordinator- ensuring every inch of space was filled!

The 3 AMIGOS – Hamish / Alfred / Fraser – each year these 3 young Men bring their expertise and muscle to get the job done. 8 years now you turn up rain hail or shine. Much gratitude and pride for what you do!

Solar buddy containers destined for DOY Island – also boxes of reusable pads from the Catholic craft group. We truly appreciate our donors and volunteers who assist us with collecting and packing our container.

A massive shout out to those that dropped off and assisted with packing today – so very much appreciated! To all the generous and thoughtful people that have donated books/ stationery/ nursing text books/ sports equipment/ Wheelchairs, walkers and crutches – the first round are packed and loaded. Glorious weather to gather for the ENB QLD Community Inc end of month April 27th.

April end of month meeting began with a craft session at 10am – basket weaving class with Angie and Vanessa. Angie the expert was quick to pass on her skills and the day just flowed from there. Joined in the afternoon by Aunties who showcased their abilities from days in the village. Such a blessing to have these skills shared with younger generations…

Thanks to the early setup crew and palm donations! Stay tuned for future weaving events!

Thank you to the special guests today from Sydney and Kokopo. Also to family and friends from Brisbane and surrounding regions – so special to come together for food, craft, singing and fundraising.

To the cooks and helpers you make these days possible! All you do is appreciated by us all.
