September Meeting

A beautiful winter day at the Kalinga Park. Lovely catching up with everyone for our September meeting. It’s always about updating and reporting back to our members.

Reusable Pads

Let’s shatter the stigma of menstruation. We support menstrual equity, health, dignity and opportunity for all. We transform periods into pathways.

Thank you to St Joseph and St Anthony Parish, Bracken Ridge craft group for your commitment to sewing much needed reusable pads. Over 500 pads were delivered.

A great feedback from the students and teachers of OLSH Vunapope after introducing the pads two years ago. Biggest plus is never having to buy pads.

Thank you Mrs Kavanamur and the grade 11s for meeting with us after work parade.

Deliveries Done.

2024 visits and deliveries of school stationery, books, sport supplies and sports uniforms. Our spirits are lifted when you see the joy on the faces of the teachers and children.

A big thank you to the Brisbane community who donated pens, pencils, rulers, erasers etc… this years stationery boxes where a huge hit. Start collecting now for 2025.

Baby Packs

We love delivering maternity packs. The appreciation and smiles in the ward brings joy. This year we delivered 514 packs a new record.

Thank you Maria Mijts and the team of dedicated women for always sourcing and sewing the maternity packs.

We are forever grateful to the St Joseph and St Anthony Parish, Bracken Ridge craft group have exceeded expectations sewing and knitting much needed baby blankets and clothes.

Thank you to all the nurses who do an incredible work with the limited resources they have.

B O I N A T U N A (Thank you) RARE for the partnership since 2017. East New Britain Province health and education has benefited greatly from donations received after 7 x 40ft containers

Rotary Australia World Community Service Northern Region and Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment. Also known by its acronym “RARE” Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment is a volunteer-based recycling facility used to collect and redistribute goods, principally donated by companies, hospitals and educational institutions. The goods it distributes are destined for developing countries and to disadvantaged individuals in the local community.

Container 2024

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this possible. This is our 7th container unloaded.

This day always marks a special day in our calendar and nothing would be possible without our amazing members and PNG community of Brisbane.

Also special mentions to Vunamami Uniting Church for allowing us to use the grounds for the second year running, and also RABTRANS and AGMARK for the delivery of the container.

2024 Container Packed

We were blessed today and the rain held off for us to finish the packing of our next Container!
