We hope everyone has remained safe and dry over the recent weather events. Due to the hectic weather of late and the damage in some of our Brisbane Parks – we have relocated Sundayโs Mumu Aigir Fundraiser to LOTA.
Andrew from Bayside United FC has kindly offered their undercover veranda to host this event. Please share the new location with your friends and family!

This year we will be hosting at Colmslie Beach Reserve, Murarrie. This will give people the option to pick up easily and travel home or stay and picnic in the large beautiful park.

Affectionately known as โThe Last Man Standingโ, the 85 year old passed away after a long illness leaving behind his wife, Lady Stella, their four children, Vanessa, Byron, Mark and Toea, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family thanked those who stood by him, shared his legacy throughout his political life from pre-independence to the time of his passing.
He was described as a โpolitical icon transcending generations and his legacy will remain forever in the pages of the countryโs history books and more so in the hearts of so many.โ
Sir Julius who was of mixed parentage New Ireland and Chinese, enjoyed a political career spanning more than four decades serving as Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, in the Opposition and various ministerial portfolios and as Governor of New Ireland.
A State funeral is being worked on, with a weeklong wake or haus krai being held in Port Moresby beginning tonight.

AED update post for all those that attended the 2024 Christmas Party on the 1st of December.
Elsie and her daughter Amy had the privilege of delivering on behalf of the ENB QLD Community a new defibrillator to staff at Vunapope Hospital!
Kate, the dedicated paramedic working for St Johnโs reached out to our group in November about the need for an AED at Vunapope Hospital ED. We dedicated funds raised from our Xmas gathering to this immediately – and this morning were able to deliver this gift for Christmas.
Kate demonstrated how to use the device, ensuring the team at Vunapope are equipped to provide life-saving care. This defibrillator is the only one currently on base, and we are grateful for the hard work and commitment of the hospital staff.
Boina Tuna, Thank you, Kate, and the entire team at Vunapope for your unwavering dedication to the health and safety of our people in ENBP! Merry Christmas!

Thank you to all the amazing cooks and all who donated the delicious food – to those that bought raffle tickets and donated generous prizes, CONGRATULATIONS to all our Winners!
To the executive team thankyou for all they do behind the scenes to ensure that each meeting and event is a success! Massive thank you to the continued support of the members of this group, without your dedication this group would not be able to give back to ENBP.
Last but not Least – our volunteers, set up and pack up crew. Your help is appreciated- without you none of this is possible.

Happy end of October everyone- what a beautiful day! The weather held out and we had a great day at Kalinga Park! So lovely to have generations of families come together to eat, story and enjoy a day together!
Thank you to the cooks and to those that helped to set up and pack up! Delicious kaikai for lunch – $5 packs which never disappoint! Lovely singing as well from all the ladies – Kalinga Park sounds great when you are all rejoicing!
We love our end of month meetings – itโs an opportunity to celebrate our achievements as a group and come together as a community!

Another Delivery Update! We were fortunate to have donated stretchers to 34 Health Centres in East New Britain province. (Images below of a couple of the deliveries). The ENB Health Centres / Areas in Need this year included Palmalmal, Butuwin, Vunapope and many more.
Our posture has always been rooted in gratitude to our growing communityโs support, who make it possible for us to help our people at home. A ngala na boina tuna to everyone!

Letโs shatter the stigma of menstruation. We support menstrual equity, health, dignity and opportunity for all. We transform periods into pathways.
Thank you to St Joseph and St Anthony Parish, Bracken Ridge craft group for your commitment to sewing much needed reusable pads. Over 500 pads were delivered.
A great feedback from the students and teachers of OLSH Vunapope after introducing the pads two years ago. Biggest plus is never having to buy pads.
Thank you Mrs Kavanamur and the grade 11s for meeting with us after work parade.
2024 visits and deliveries of school stationery, books, sport supplies and sports uniforms. Our spirits are lifted when you see the joy on the faces of the teachers and children.
A big thank you to the Brisbane community who donated pens, pencils, rulers, erasers etcโฆ this years stationery boxes where a huge hit. Start collecting now for 2025.
